Just when we thought Venice was the most beautiful place we would visit in Italy, Varenna may have beaten it into second place. Neither of us can get our heads round the fact that we are actually seeing what's around us. The apartment is amazing and the views from the balcony alone are worth the trip. Claire has also befriended a blind cat so we keep having to think of excuses to go and see the lady so Claire can rub the cat.

... the same question. Well with partners in crime... Why not?? We climbed the fence and absolutely enjoyed the path that we had entirely to ourselves. Hard work over generations – no wonder the Italian wines are good. It also raised the idea that people wanting to leave their rural roots would be well trained for the ...

... I slept in until 11:45..... haha... oops.... Stefania woke me up, and we walked to the grandparents house. We ate lunch there, and it was awesome handmade pizza. Figaro's or Home Place has nothing on an italian pizza. I met two of her cousins also, they seemed nice. I hung out at the house after that, and at 6 my host dad drove me to my "tutor" to have dinner. We drove on his motorcycle... which was terrifying... but the dinner was delicious ...

On the bus to Lagura Switzerland, free time for coffee and shopping in the markets. Weather is very cold here. We took the bus to the cable car up the mountain called Monte Tamaro. Beautiful views on the way up of the valley below, snow on the alps here. We had a set lunch menu and a walk around at the top, threw ...
