... overflowed, demolishing the property down by the river and the paco (fern) planted as you hike up to the main house area of the farm is completely under the mud. Auntie Marilyn (Manager of ENCA and my host Aunt) used the words that ENCA is devastated and back to zero. Additionally the Barangay of Santo Nino, which is located up-stream from the farm, has been ...

... seems like a good place to live. People are very friendly. I chose a place that had loads of people eating lunch, and it was a good pick-food was good and it was cheap. Sat with a local woman and found out a lot more about this city. Last night Ken and Judy-Sandy from the camp- parents, picked me up and went to a local pizza place with Sandy's Uncle. good company and good time. I am on my way to the Denver Art Museum. I hope this gets thru to you all. So far so good. .
Denver, Colorado, United States grandmapearlWe are home a day late thanks to an all expense paid day in London compliments of British Air.
We ended up getting out of Rome late due to a baggage problem. So we arrived into London only to miss our connection.
It is so good to be home. We had a wonderful trip but there is nothing like you own bed.
Look forward to seeing all of you soon.
Love to all

I decided to take the Amtrak train from San Francisco to Denver rather than flying (even though it took 32 hours, leaving on Saturday morning and arriving in Denver on Sunday evening) so that I could see some of the countryside rather than skipping over it all. Plus the train route went through the Rocky Mountains which would be spectacular....or so I thought! However the best laid plans don't always account for maintenance so after ...
Denver, Colorado, United States calmyourjetsI woke up this morning feeling just like I did yesterday morning. I was lying on the floor with my ribs hurting. The mattress had deflated once again during the night; I was not a happy camper, or I mean house guest. We didn't do very much today at all. Alex and I lounged around the appt. again till about 11 when the Denver Bronco/Buffalo Bill game came on. (It was about that time that Amber left for her parent's house up in Loveland ...
Glendale, Colorado, United States aftershockAs I had stated before, Alex and Amber both live in a one bedroom apartment so I did not have my own room. Another thing I had to adapt to was that they did not have a full size couch for me to sleep on either. Instead they had a blow up mattress that I could sleep on the floor, which sounded fine to me. The only problem was that I woke up this morning basically lying on the floor. The mattress had deflated during the night and my ribs were sore as hell from lying on ...
Glendale, Colorado, United States aftershockI woke up at the KOA about 945 this morning. It was a bright cool morning perfect for a drive. I was surprisingly refreshed after having a hard time going to sleep last night during the storm. After finally waking up and walking around outside, I broke into my incredibly small refrigerator to make a ham sandwich. The fridge is small but I think it will prove to be very valuable while being alone out on trail. Check out time at the campground was 11 so I ...
Glendale, Colorado, United States aftershockUneventful drive to Denver, used C-470. Best 6 bucks a traveler can spend! Plane is full and they are asking for bumps. Tempting, but not this time. Here I go! Get to Kansas City Airport and I do not like it. I have to go outside of security to get a hamburger. Additionally, there are only two restaurants in the food court! One of them is Burger King, which seems at all ...
