... out to a nearby botanical garden (or jungle as we thought) where Barrie the watcher of the birds spied many to add to his South African list. We also spotted a few dwarf mongoose; where an over-confident little one tried to take on a giant plated lizard which promptly put it back in its place by scaring it back into the bushes. We had just about completed the "circuit" of dirt roads when we came across two other cars looking at something and called out "lion". Actually, it was a pride of at least 9 lion cubs (maybe more, but I only got 9 in the photos.) We thought we'd lost ...
