... proved a little short on mammals and somewhat tedious in the heat. There was a nice stop for a drink watching yet more Elephants and a Lilac-breasted Roller had a snack of a large cricket beside the car. Later on crossing a dry river bed we caught a glimpse of 4 Lions at rest. Difficult to see, and indeed with little obvious landmarks to describe their whereabouts Ann, who struggled to find them at first. Tall grass in front of us prevented photos other than a distant head shot.

... his gun and was very much on guard. He gave us two instructions. If he says run, then run. If he says Climb a tree, then do it. He told us it would be easy to do if a lion was chasing us!!!
Fortunately we only saw tracks, a few hippo and a crocodile in the water. It was an eerie experience though.
We have now left Inyati for more adventures but they can wait for the next blog. Internet is not so readily available here.

There were definitely some thing sthat couldn't be properly experienced until we entered into our placements but it undoubtedly helped to ease us in to the experience and our roles. ... than we could eat. Afterwards, we watched some of their photos from Kruger and heard from the other couple about the issues and differences of watching wildlife and visiting parks between South Africa and Mozambique.

Tomorrow, we do the Blyde River Canyon boat trip and Monday is the "Panorama" tour (the Canyon from the top). Holgar said to expect some busy days (8a-5p) so we're turning in and getting ready for more adventure.
