The Belvedere Estates was the pick up point for our GPS navigation system which will be assisting Vivian (but only if she believes the system) and where they kindly allowed us to drop of 3 of our checked bags. A short way from the dam we came across a group of 20+ White-backed Vultures arguing over the remains of a carcass - a great photo opportunity of these beasts at their best or is worst. There was also one Hooded Vulture present and luckily he was also able to be photographed well. Fascinating to this smaller vulture sneak in and try and grab a share while the bigger White-backed Vultures squabbled.

And finally, yesterday was exciting too as we headed to Kruger national park. We got up at 4am to get there for the park opening at 6am. Having been told not to be too disappointed if we didn't see the Big Five, we saw elephants and rhinos in a short space of time. It was a fantastic day, and once more like at Addo, despite being there all day, the time went very quickly.

... is slightly lower allowing the water behind it to flow over and thus keep the level generally constant. The road is part of the Wehr on the down-stream side (and obviously has some water on it). So it creates the viewpoint of looking across the water at almost the level of the water but from a car window. It's a somewhat strange feeling! We had hoped we might see some crocs or water birds from the viewpoint for some unique ...
