We got up early and did a 50km loop before the forecast storms. Was a lovely ride! We went over Passo Compolongo (opposite direction), Passo Falzarego and Passo Valparola. We snoozed when we got back to the van and had some warm left over curry for lunch. In the afternoon we spent time trying to fix the laptop, wandered through town and had a beer and a spritz before heading back to the van for dinner. It's bitterly cold! We headed to the tourist office on our bikes (about 1.5km descent into town). We got a good cycling and a hiking map. Unfortunately the weather turned, the rain started. So we rode back to the van, got changed and walked back to Corvara. We stopped for lunch at Fornella - pizza and lasagne! A lovely way to spend the rainy day. ... but it too was damaged in the earthquake. It was just gorgeous with quaint houses and cobbled slightly hilly streets. We had a coffee then moved on to the ruin of a castle Rocca di Calascio that has the best 360 degree views. We lunched in the small town below, pasta with wild boar for Derek and lamb with wild fruits for me. Very tasty. The lamb was quite gamey.

... while Derek, Gerry and Neil walked up to an old castle above the monastery. Our room is basic But comfortable with a mezzanine floor where we sleep.Derek dropped the soap in the shower and had to open the door and get out to retrieve it.
We met at 7pm for drinks and a four course dinner was served at 8pm. Beautiful antipasto of local product, pasta, pork with potato and a cake slice. All very good fun as usual.
