    ... a hill the sight of The Basilica is astounding. The whole town is perched on the side of the hill. An incredibly old town with skinny, windy roads. The hotel is fabulous with great views from the room and public areas out side, down across the valley below.     ... after five weeks of dodging them in every city and village! We found our way to the vaporetto station, then arrived at our hotel which is in a quiet residential corner of the island.     ... a self serve buffet type place which she wanted to return to so we walked back up the hill to find it. Less than appealing unless you wanted a large lunch. I had a couple of vegetables, a small potato thing and another small unknown item. It was good nonetheless and cheap at only 3 E.     ... recognize our surnames. Note to self buy tickets online directly from trenitalia next time. We did however make the 1238 train to Rome Termini.
