    ... that tomorrow I can attend the Country Living Fair that's sponsored by "Country Living Magazine."

    Our plan is to arrive in Virginia by Sunday. First up, Historic Jamestowne, the actual site of the landing of the first English-speaking settlement in the New World; followed by a visit to Jamestown Settlement, which is a living history museum of the people who lived there.

    ... dinner. Luckily we stumbled upon Captain Lou's Bar and Grill where I could feed my addiction to fish taco's. Karen had the perch basket and both were great meals in pleasant surroundings as we sat outside on the canal, watching the boats cruise back to their berths.

    I can understand why this place is such a popular weekend getaway for Chicagoans.

    ... and then back to the lot.

    The rain held off for most of the first show and then, of course, the skies opened up during finale. Some of the crowd made it to their cars in time but most did not so the tent was packed full of people waiting it out. By some miracle, I had a few kids who wanted their faces painted as the wind whipped the tent and rain was flying in through every opening.     ... in Grand Rapids. We couldn't wait to spend time with both sides of the family and share our babies with them. Michaele found two beautiful vacation rental houses right next to each other and smack dab on the Lake Michigan where we would be spending the next 7 days.

    Wednesday-We got the rig hooked up just in time before the rain came so we waited until it passed.

    We found our campground which is a mile from Lake Michigan and across from Lake Macatawa which flows into Lake Michigan and slightly northwest of Holland. The spots are large and nice and so is the daily rate.
