The first few days back in Elounda were an opportunity to relax, and on Thursday we spent the day by the beach, Friday by the pool. Friday evening we jumped on the bus to Agios Nikolaos to meet Laura and her girlfriend for drinks, dinner and then some more drinks and was our only late night 'party night' of the whole three weeks. ... won her over, for the time being. Our 10k walking today took in Elounda where we shopped of car hire, being won over not necessarily by the best deal but by the Greek man who had notched up the charm a few points. We are pleased to report an absence of empty supermarkets and dying cancer sufferers without medication rotting in the streets as reported in the British press of late, and we didn't observe any British people leaving the airport who were being wrestled to ...

... of the Minotaur and the labyrinth is supposed to have taken place. We're excited to see it. Then after that we catch a plane to Athens. Greece is having some financial trouble right now, so we plan to be very careful to avoid any demonstrations or protests. But we've been told by everyone we've talked to that we'll be just fine as tourists, and will likely not even notice or see anything unusual. We're looking forward to visiting the ...
