Wow what a whirlwind over the last few days... Gambling, shopping, eating... I think we have been to every casino... There is nothing really new here over the last couple of years development has slowed, but... Given the size of the strip now, it doesn't need to be any bigger... We met a friend, Keith, here, his first time in Vegas... So was nice to see the strip through the eyes of a newbie! Have a ...

    Zion to Las Vegas

Same old routine - showers and pack and load bags into the car. Then grab some brekkie at the cafe before catching the shuttle back to The Grotto. This time we crossed the bridge and turned right onto the trail that heads to Angels Landing. However our aim was to get only as far as Scout Lookout at the top of Walter's Wiggles - a series of 21 steep switchback turns. The hike is quite strenuous but not at all impossible. ... able to control yourself. 3 Years ago I could and spent just a small amount. This time I lost 400 USD in 1 night! As I said before not a killer amount but still probably a bit too much and it was also on the 2nd day of 11 so it meant no more gambling for me. If I was going again I would probably suggest to play 20 USD every day or 2 with a target to either double or lose your money - but watch out - its addictive!

As for now - Im in San Francisco & it has started well!

... much younger than Ryan and had moved to Colorado from Hawaii. We became fast friends as we explored the ups and downs of living and working at a boarding school. We left first, then they left the next year. It is a testament to the power of the Christmas card tradition that we have kept up with each other, if only once a year. So, after over 25 years, we had dinner with them in Las Vegas! They looked unchanged, and said that ...
