We got a relatively early start in the morning, and made a quick stop at the drugstore in Durango for supplies and then hit the road. ... I am mad because we wasted 45 minutes and we could have made it if we had gas but Jym was convinced it would have been closed if we got there when we did. Who knows. It takes about an hour to get up the mountain they say and Jym thinks that by the time we would have driven up it would have closed.
