Stranded in St Moritz
... tourist town but coming here out of season is a total dead loss and especially on a Sunday!! I cannot wait to get back on my bike and out of here!!!
Tomorrow the weather is suppose to be good and so I plan to head eastwards into Italy and the Dolomites. I only hope there is no more snow on the way but only time will tell.

Sunshine and snow in the Alps
... Getting to Chur meant heading over a few more wonderful passes, one of which starts right here in Andermatt and is called "Susten pass". Its only 2224m high but after what I saw yesterday and from the top of the mountain today it looked like it was going to be quite a challenge!!
Unlike yesterday when the weather was good, today it was mighty windy. Trying to make my way up the first section of the pass out of Andermatt was a nightmare!! The road winds and twists its way up ...
Chur and the train trip to Morges
... side. Now a race against time it's 11:49 - check out for the hotel is 12noon and the train goes to Morges at 12:16. We get to the hotel at 12:01 get our bags and board the train at 12:15 - now that is to the minute timing! We have to make a change at Zurich and Camille had only downloaded up to the 12.09 train, so with a bit of guess work using the previous train times, we managed to make the connection with about 8 minutes to spare! Not much in Lichtenstein
... along the waters edge and through the cobblestone streets I continued on my journey. After another hour I arrived back in Memmingen, the city where I started and where I was staying. I arrived a bit earlier than expected so went and had lunch at an asian takeaway store (terrible I know, but the only other places open for food were cafes that served only sweet food). Davos
... hour of the ride but then had to fall back. It was a steep ride and they were keeping a good pace since the sun was beginning to set. It was very scenic as we rode up out of the valley towards a pass. This was the same pass that we had driven over to get into Davos a few days back but I didn’t remember any of it.
