    Bawk bawk bawk

A travel blog entry by jasman.nijjar on May 12, 2014

Breakfast was provided, I just stuck to the food that looked familiar so I had toast, hash browns and some buns. We went to Yamaha in the morning, the motorcycles were sick and the piano that was playing by itself was cool. I at beef curry for lunch it was really good. I can't last on just noodles. After Yamaha we went to Honda, where they make only the transmissions. Both places had Canadian flags up when we went, it's such a simple gesture ...

The gold and the red - our last day in Kyoto

There are so many sites to see in Kyoto. It's not possible to see them all and you always wonder what you missed out on. I know there are a couple of sites that I regret not seeing but I am very glad we saw the two sites we spent time at today. The girls have been very good running back and forward to the supermarket for us to pick up supplies. Today they brought us a real treat to have with our cereal. It looked like milk, came in a blue carton, but was in ...

Wednesday, July 24th: Today was the day for Hanagasa Junko, flower umbrella procession. I only found out about it through a channel I am subscribed to on Facebook yesterday and ...

We began the day with yet another food fest in our ryokan, then headed out to Kyoto Station to find our bike tour. We found the post office, where we were supposed to meet up, quickly enough, as well as 2 Canadians and 2 Indonesians waiting for the same tour. Unfortunately, it took our guide and the 2 New Zealanders nearly 20 minutes to realize we were waiting in a different location (they were actually given different instructions!) After that, though, we quickly ...

    Thousands of Torii Gates

We took the tram for the first time but it went underground and wasn't much different from the subway. We changed lines and got to the torri gates place. You know when you are at the right place because narrow streets are lined with food and souvineer shops. It is easy follow everyone else. I have my minolta today so the pics are courtesy of Joel. We passed all of the temple type buildings and entered the path of tori gated. There is thousands of them that ...
