        It was a short drive to Carson City. We spent the afternoon looking at different areas of Carson City. The Carson City, Minden, and Gardnerville area would be a nice place to live. Carson City is the capital of Nevada so there are a lot of stores and restaurants including a Costco even though it's not that big.         ... morning 1-1/2 miles. We’d wanted to hike there but big kids weren’t awake yet and we didn’t know about walking with Zaya. When the group of friends came back they reported that the hike was not easy for kids and seemed long. So we were glad to be so lazy.
