    Stayed in a rundown Inn on the highway and slept poorly...serves me right for not searching out a nicer spot.
    Freeway driving has it's benefits to getting somewhere quickly but sure is boring unless you stop...and we didn't do much of that today! No snow and temperatures climbing.     ... being decreed traitors by the Cherokee nation government and banished from the tribal lands. This kicked off a Cherokee Civil War that lasted through the Civil War to 1867. Chief John Ross being the most powerful of the chiefs during this time.
