... city. After we stood watching the sparkling tower we sat on some grass and played cards for a while, being introduced to a new game called Mao in which you cannot discuss the rules. It was an extremely enjoyable game but eventually cold drove us all home and we hopped the train back to our hostel. Today was probably the biggest sight seeing day on the whole holiday. We set out on the Métro and headed first for Sacré Coeur basilica as it was quite close. There is a funicular railway up the hill and on the ascent I spotted a very clean cut looking young man whom I thought was taking a lot of interest in people's bags. Just as I said to Craig "I think that's a pickpocket", he made a dive for a young girl's purse! Craig let him know he'd been seen, and the lad shrugged ...
