... de Triomphe and back to the Eiffel Tower. Issy says that she likes Paris. She likes that there is lots of open space, and palatial buildings. We are hungry. We noticed from the bus that there were quite a few restaurants in the street next to our hotel. We decide that we will go there for dinner. One of the restaurants is Chinese. There is a queue of about 200 people outside waiting to get into it. All these people are Asian. The queue is not at all ...

Recovered from the Louvre, we set out on to Paris. It was a full day and we got to see many of the classic sights of Paris. Situated in a cute local neighborhood with small winding roads. After being in awe of our hotel room for a solid hour, we decided we couldn't live on yogurt and toast any longer and headed out for some grub. We sat down at an outdoor patio and ordered cheeseburgers... Yes, our first ...

Four years ago we got a taste of what Paris could be. We stayed a stone's throw away from where we stayed this time and that trip spawned the holiday we were about to complete. Our main objective this time, after that small tease, was to feel like we belonged to this neighbourhood. Were we successful? In our own minds, yes. However, our Canadian pins, cameras, maps, glazed eyes and best shots at speaking French probably gave us away. We have had ...
