We were up by 5:30am to get final packing done and await the hire car. He arrived early and proceeded to drive like a Formula 1 racer to Heathrow. Who knew you can do 73 mph on city streets and 94mph on the dual carriageways. Consequently we were dropped off at Terminal 5 an hour before we could check bags.
