Up early for a power walk along the Irish Sea-fastest one yet!

Our driver shines again today with a fast trip back in time to Newgrange, the oldest known settlement in Ireland. It is the site of a huge passage tomb built 5000 years ago. It has perfect alignment ...

The Fourth Day

"...started by daylight next morning, bright and airy." We began the day by visiting Mullingar Cathedral, and nearly got locked in a private parking lot! For some reason, the Mullingar parish charges people to park to attend mass. Their viewpoint might have been a little slanted ....embellished ....OK they were massively ...

BELFAST/DUBLIN/BALBRIGGAN

A travel blog entry by jukes on Sep 02, 2014

... fascinated with the large tractors towing wagons on the road transferring fodder from farm to farm, they usually travel round 60kms. Can not get over the number of smokers either. Parking is funny, you can park either side of the road, facing either way. Also amazed at the number of pharmacies in each town. Small windows in houses, even newly built ones, have not seen any "architecturally" designed styles. We avoided the toll roads when leaving Dublin ...
