Following a disturbed night, up & down through the early hours we were up at 6.30am with Poppy's alarm & to see her off at 7.30 to catch her bus back home in time to start work at 8am. All feeling rather delicate today after our day of debauchery yesterday. Making ourselves eat a fried egg sandwich for our hangover breakfast, to at least attempt to give us some energy to start the day. We left at 10am to take some washing in before heading up the ocean avenue steep steps ...

Unfortunately the Island of Kiribati was in fact split and the result was that the eastern part ...

Our morning started with buffet breakfast at the hotel. We then took a short drive a to an opal store where we were shown a short video. We then had a brief demonstration of different types of opal, followed by of course shopping time. We then walked down to the harbor for a walking tour of "The Rocks." We were split into three groups for a historical tour of how Australia was founded and how Sydney was created. There were huge cliffs in Sydney, whichever the first settlers ...

3 Sleeps To Go....

... lemon tart to the $1100 designer glasses on the nose of your waiter. It’s one reason I enjoy going to Happy Chef in Newtown. The place looks like a Coles Cafeteria circa 1981 while the consistent and incredibly fresh food is always five stars. One pays for the food (imagine that!) and anything that comes under the heading of "atmosphere or experience" is purely coincidental.

Deanne and I caught the bus home, a little ...
