Sept. 8th

Today we were booked on a city tour and it was perfect weather for doing it. We started at Bellevue House, which was the home for Sir John A MacDonald for a short time. It is now the best example of an Italianate Villa in Kingston. He was certainly quite a man and had such a profound impact on us as a nation.

... islands cruise on a paddle wheeler and then do a trolley tour of the downtown area on Monday. So many of the cities here also offer haunted tours but we decided not to do one. Probably most of the bus clientele are in the bottom third of society (IE. no car, low income - maybe students and seniors) with a few exceptions (like me - maybe - since I am no longer a car owner
and I am a low income senior on a fixed income just trying to make ends meet in this cold, hard, cruel world)..
A few unsavory looking types seemed to be hanging around the bus station for no apparent reason.
