... packing and bed.

In the morning we dropped off James to the airport, we almost didn't make it. We left plenty of time to get to the airport, well we thought we did. But it took as 2hrs with the traffic. We were heading away from the city in peak hour, it was hectic. He made it with 45mins until the flight left and they sorted him out. We'll see him again in Calgary after he sits his exam.

We continued on the road west for the trip ...

... about 6, and we covered quite a distance. We crossed the Mississippi River, and we crossed through Iowa, and covered almost all of Minnesota, and stayed the night in Jackson, Minnesota. We travelled the I-20 through Illinois up to Waterloo where we took the 218 up to the I-90. We traveled the I-90 for the rest of the way. We crossed back over the Missouri River in South Dakota, and made it into Minnesota. Plains, farms, wind turbines, cows...

We stopped a little bit earlier than expected, but found a hotel right off the highway just as the kids really needed a break or sleep, and went for a great late night hot tub and swim. We'll drive extra tomorrow.
