... Stopped at a local pub to have lunch, a place named the White Lion, located right next door to the Black Lion Hotel. I don't think there is a connection other than the reference to Lion.

... we went do a walk along the beach in the other direction and then walked along the coastal/cliff walk. Nigel walked to Guiltar Point, but I was too much of a poof !! And stayed on the very blowy other side and settled for taking a picture of Nigel instead. I had chicken and chips from the shop on-site and nigel had a pork pie salad. I made a start on my large bottle of San Miguel ! intend to fish later but it is very blowy so we shall ...
