    ... to be pretty nice. Around the hotel lobby, there were pictures of some of the unique sites of the region. Since our dinner reservation wasn't until later that night, we explored the area to pass the time. Inland from the city were a few villages that had been built around the 14th Century.     ... Surprisingly, and to my utter amazement, it’s really nice so Dyana & I share all the ‘delicacies’. Well, on the strength of that, we decide to order wine! It’s a local brew, or should I say, a pressing of the latest vintage, Château 2014 plonk. And I’m girding my loins for the vinegar taste because the half carafe arrives in what looks like a big glass milk jug... And again… I’m really pleased with it. Quite drinkable. ...

    ... belvedere. It did look really interesting and we wished we had gotten here earlier. Oh well, another trip!

    The trip home was a long one and the first time driving into Lanciano after dark. We really feel like we are getting more comfortable with the drive into and out of the city. We got home about 11 pm.

    Tomorrow is market day, so we plan to sleep late, go to the market and generally chill out.
