... famed Wellfleet oysters. They were gorgeously briny and slid off the shells perfectly. Main course was forgettable so we went to another bar.

After organising ourselves we drove up to the more rugged Cape Cod National Seashore which is a beautiful 26 mile drive. The entire area has not succumbed to over development and so it has retained a lazy, sandy and rugged charm....I can see why JFK loved the area.

Going across the bridge in rush hour traffic was mother interesting (tongue in cheek) ride.
We expected to see the ocean all along this highway, but all you see is trees. The road runs through the middle of the cape and just has exits every few miles.
