... Interesting to us was the fact that access to the beach in Bay St. Louis was limited, because there was no parking. They built a cement walk just beside the road leaving no shoulder, and reserved the space on the other side to walkers and bikers. So we were not able to park and go to the beach. I guess it must be reserved for the people who live in the houses across the street or anyone who can walk there or ride a bike.

It was great to see the places in Marcus’s stories and a good introduction tour of a college campus for the kids…I can’t believe in 5-6 years we’ll be looking at college campuses with Maxwell for real! On to Fort Walton Beach next. ...
Not a whole lot to share for today. We both went to work for most of the day and got on the road about 5 PM for a 4 hour drive to Thomasville, GA, where we spent the night with some friends. We had not seen the NeSmith's in a couple years so it was great to spend some time with them even though it was short. It's incredible how fast kids can start playing with other kids they've never met and act like they've known each other for years in no time at all.

I opted for the $3.99 version of Bud Light. The regular size, whatever size that is, is $2.99. When the beer arrived it was in a 44 oz glass, just like the waters and soda. For under $4.00! Wow, I said.
... change our minds and take a different route or hold off until after it hits. Guess the weather turned nasty in Texas and California just after we left. Got out of dodge in time I guess. Some observations: o Lots of pine trees in Florida along the interstate and very lush. o We just passed a place called Harold, Florida. Too funny! The temp is steadily going up outside as we press further on. It is now 92 degrees outside. Yikes. In comparison to all the other ...
