Today we went to the Statue of Liberty. I went on my first subway in USA. We took many photos, because of its importance. We took a ferry over to Liberty Island and Ellis Island. We spent a total of about 4 hours in the island, walking around. It was a big day for our feet, It felt like we walked about 8-10 kilometres. As usual Mum made us keep walking even when we didn't want ...

... arrival if I'd just pushed on. Some time to reflect and relax I think was really needed.

The weather is looking best on Saturday for the flight to Florida, I'm keen to do it non stop (why not....) so will have a day of catching up on Friday and then head out very early Saturday.

          Cheerio.

They had prepared dinner for us and it was so nice to have a home cooked meal!!! We stayed till about 10.30 and went home for a shower and bed. They invited us back for breakfast today. We went around at about 9 and had the ...

... to need the extra room! Downside of having to pack for both snow/cold and warm weather, but unavailable. There's no way I could have survived in Canada or NYC without my winter gear. Given I had previously been to the Rockefeller Center and the 'Top of the Rock' on my previous visit, I wasn't going to go there again. But given I was already in the area and it was early, I decided to again. Glad I did. It's such a great view of NYC and surrounding areas, ...

Breakfast at the famous Ellen Stardust dinner on Broadway. The all American diner with singing waiters. A bit of fun to start the day.

Our first clear day meant get up ...
