Another thing that people are taking for souvenirs are the Route 66 highway road signs. I drove many miles looking for a road sign so that I could take the obligatory "selfie" in front of a real route 66 sign, but kept passing alot of bare poles! I finally found one and took a few pics. (but I have to admit, it would be cool to have a real one instead of one of the Chinese souvenir stand knock-offs!)
