... fantastically beautiful even though today was a comparatively low amount of water coming over the falls. Known as the "Niagara of the West," Shoshone Falls tumbles 212 feet to the canyon floor, 50' higher than Niagara Falls. Coming out of the falls area, we saw three big elk! The only other big wildlife we have seen on this trip was one antelope, three deer, and innumerable dead armadillos so this was a good sighting!
