      GETTING THE WORST OF THE TRIP OVER FIRST

      Nobody likes overnight flights and with an early arrival into LHR with two flights to follow, there will be lots of teeth gnashing to start.

      Left the folks and Tabu behind c 1410 for an uneventful trip to Toronto Pearson airport. Surprised the Park 'n Fly Self Park lot was quite full; service continues to slip but inside Terminal 1 around 1545.

      Already had my boarding pass [via the web yesterday] but probably should ...

      ... her at the meeting place... getting 'stuff' out of car.. a squeal.. panic..
      Her treasured paint box is still at the hotel.. why did I not bring it.. Me???


      Jump back in car and drive back to hotel to retrieve said paintbox... The things we do...

      Arriving back at the hotel I found the final proof...
      Searching for the paints I found it.. all neat and tidy being guarded by Ruth's knitted chook... my prize for cluckers.

      ... to go through security. When last here on Jan 23rd, it was pretty much walk right up to a security area but that was early morning. The switchbacks took over 20M; the security bit, but seconds.

      ... that leads to the rest of the house. On the right hand side there is the bathroom/ toilet, which they call a washroom. There are strange fluffy covers on the toilet and mats everywhere on the floor. The taps are backwards compared with Australia and if you want the water to come out of the shower head not the tap, you have to pull a pin up out of the tap and hold it up for a few seconds.       ... and we got to see some exotic animals like the black and white lemur, spider monkey and some bird dwellers included storks and pelicans. We loved it so much, we did the tour twice!   Although this Safari adventure is mainly for children, we did have fun as adults. There were some rides obviously for children like the pony ride but overall it was a great experience and would definitely do it again with or without ...
