There were two baptisms at Book Road this morning - Jesse Pipe (Beth's cousin) and his girlfriend from high school, Karen Workman. Returning to the room, I heard the girls leaving for a very late morning coffee. Asked Lou if they had ...

This one starts about 20 years ago in the Paraguayan jungle in the northern part of the country, just outside Loma Plata. My mom was born there and lived there until she was 8. She still has lots of family there. Anyway, her aunt and uncle were visiting Canada and she and her uncle got to talking about her Crohn's and the medications she was on ...

... hot oil will drop from the sump plug is quite an art and I have yet to get it right. Every time I end up getting scalded by hot, black, smelly oil which does NOT drop accurately into the dug hole. Hence I always don a special pair of tatty old jeans and crawl under the car with the correct spanners and a head torch to do the job. It usually gets done OK but only after much choice language. We did find an appropriate place to do the job well down the road from Flin Flon and about an ...
