... Trig's mate's and Kerryns brother Rohan, doing shot after shot before going back to the bungalow and getting completely stoned on a joint that Trig whipped up that resembled a bouquet of flowers my mother would whip up in her little flower shed. It worked a treat mind and we were all soon rolling around on the floor in uncontrollable hysterics, trying to sing the same Paulo Nutini song over and over again. The next morning Kerryn, a teacher with an ...
Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa jordanblair100... to get through.

Yaseen got off at Nelspruit and I carried on till Johannesburg. I must admit I felt a little apprehensive at the idea of going to Joburg because the majority of locals have kept telling to be careful over there. I got to the bus station and had to wait for my free pick up to take me to the hostel. I am only there for the night as I am going to Botswana tomorrow. I just chilled round the hostel tonight and caught up on a few things on the internet.
Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa alexhuchet... or at least out-of-date. We’ll see what happens when they host the World Cup soccer matches next year. Why do the wealthiest cities have to be the most dangerous? Follow the money. Still I’d like to look around, maybe if I can co-ordinate my schedule with the upcoming jazz festival. That should be heavily policed. Just carry little money, and if anybody wants it, it’s theirs. I doubt anybody would have ...
Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa hardiek... fuer volle vier Stunden.
Johannesburg, South Africa brisko... Gina and had our first bunny chow. Coffee Bay - The famous Coffee Bay that so many people had told us about turned out to be fantastic, the hostel was really traditional (straw roofed huts), friendly and had the buffalo rule. The evenings consisted of card games, traditional drumming, good food and free mussels and then the writing of the "Coffee Shack Song" which we are sure will appear on youtube very soon ...
Johannesburg, South Africa miss.scotty... They were actually carrying on so must that they were making me nervous! I said something on the Botswana side and they immediately apologised, they were making such a fuss that we should hurry up that it became a bit nerve wrecking. But as soon as I said something all change. Really nice to see. Now to get to Kasane for our overnight stop we had to drive through Chobe. Somehow that made me very nervous - it was pitch dark and a game reserve. We also ...
Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa elmabLanded Joburg 1530 on 5 Nov 07.. about 0030 6 Nov 07 Sydney time. Trip wasn't bad - pretty good food and great company.. and loved the video/tv/flight info/games on demand - spent a lot of time watching Trinny and Susannah, playing tetris, and checking out how close to the Antarctic we were (we got quite close). Took a walk around the plane ...
Johannesburg, South Africa nataliehydeI've been in South Africa for a week now and I've been pretty busy so haven't been able to get on the internet until now. I flew into Johannesburg and arrived early Friday morning. I then went to my hostel and went on a little tour of the city with one of the guys from the hostel. I was meant to be leaving the next day to go on safari in Kruger National Park, but the bus didn't turn up, so I stayed ...
Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa vickicooper... flowers, etc. One group playing a guitar, others with cameras making a movie or doing a TV new item. We then took a drive through a few of the hilly bits around Pretoria, which looks like it is both sedimentary and igneous. I think that in one direction is the Kruger Park and in the other is the old gorge so it has an interesting history. As we were driving, we saw a little Meer cat - most unusual, I gather. It was a cute little cat like ...
