I had never thought of travelling to Zurich only to take part in the Street Parade. But back in 2008 some friends wanted me to go there and I did not regret it. It is a real special parade with many friendly people in a very nice city near the Lake Zurich. The central station was also decorated and used for the party, and during night time the big station hall became one of the largest dancing clubs in the world. I can only tell people to go there and enjoy the great ambiance!<br>

The flight to zurich was prettz good. we got some chocolate at the end of it which was nice. i automatically found andrea, my couchsurfing host, who was with her friend Furmi. Then stacey ran up to me and there we all were. we dropped off stacey and aly for their train. then tessa and i left for andreas. their house is adorable and very swiss. the whole family was there for a barbeque ...

Just a day trip to see this old city. Lots of brightly painted buildings with ornate oriel windows. Most of the windows were carved with scenes or fancy designs, sometimes painted, sometimes both. Lots of fountains and statues. Found a chocolate shop and pigged out.

Amsterdam Airport was interesting. 3 seperate passport controlls, 2 unrelated security checks and a stripsearch. Flying is such a joy!!!!! The airport itself is great. We are sitting in the plane. The take off is delayed because of congestion on the ground. I'm so tired. Maybe I can sleep on this flight. We fly over a sea of clouds. Beautiful.

... height. We soon found out the reason behind it, as our elevator floor count started from 11 instead of 1, and we were actually on the 8th floor. Raagee was particularly disappointed as she loved heights(like me...) and was longing for that birds eye view. ... dollar but still the prices are stupid here! Umm we have walked around,went to a lake, saw a lot of wild swans(dont see that alot ya know?) and aaron bought a shirt thats not blue(thats all he brought to Europe!) and I got my first dr.pepper in Europe!!!I am drinking it right now as we speak and i am loving it!!lol. ... visited in 1986 (if it was good enough for my cousin, it is good enough for me). The dining room was paneled in light wood, very nice...and a very enjoyable evening. Shirley joined us this evening and the three of us had a good time. I can&#8217;t wait for tomorrow and the Glacier Express train trip to St. Moritz. Before I go any further, I have to say again that the scenery has been spectacular! I never get tired of looking at it.
