... and a little east, toward Akron. We stopped in several small towns along the way - Medina and Seville among others. We also saw some local railroads in action, including Norfols Southern, CSX and Lake Erie and Wheeling. LE&W had the road that we wanted to take blocked, so after waiting for 15 minutes, we consulted our GPS helper and took a quick detour around. Just a stupid coal train!!

We arrived in Cleveland mid afternoon and decided to have a walk around town. It appeared to be a modern city with wide streets and lovely open spaces amongst the buildings.
We then returned to the hotel thinking that we had until 9.30 to look at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, not far from our hotel. Steve double checked the opening times on his i pad and ...
... or sandals for me! In order to not take the walking boot along on vacation, I had to promise my doctor I would get sturdy hiking boots. I won't be the most fashionable tourist, but I'll certainly be prepared for hiking the Great Wall and the temples in Angkor Wat. We got into town and headed right for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was pretty cool. They had a big Elvis exhibit from Graceland and which neat. Tonight we are off to see the Indians vs Red Sox game, weather permitting. It rained a little this afternoon but it looks like its going to clear now. ... 4 rows off the field from stubhub for a great price. It was a beautiful day for a game as the sun was shinning and the game was actually really well played. It ended with a walk off 2 run home run by the Indians and the whole place went wild. If anyone has a chance to catch a game in Cleveland I would really recommend it because it is a really amazing ball park. After the game we got back in the car and began our next part of the trip. Off to Chicago.
