Our hotel had its own customer laundry so we were able to luxuriate in our room in between cycles.
We stayed in the city so ventured around the corner for dinner and then a couple of beers at a little dive bar.
The city seemed safe and organised after being in Detroit.

... could I pass on that. I was lucky enough to spend the day in good company and attended the birthday party of a rock star. (In pure Irish fashion, it was held at a local Irish pub.) It was not like I was just there as a person in the crowd, I was an invited guest and it felt like family. What an absolutely amazing group of people.
I can only hope to remain friends with them and go out again in the future.

We were also told that some slaves who managed to escape made their way to Cleveland, and were helped by an underground organisation in the Catholic Church. The Church had a bell, no longer on the steeple which tolled once to take cover, and twice all clear. We saw both the Church and the bell.
