361 Miles from New Orleans - Houston. Houston is huge! It's the 4th largest city in the USA, the largest in the south. I had no idea of the size of it. There's about 3 different skylines. Not much to write about...
My only reason to come to Houston was to visit the NASA space center. Frankly, it was unimpressive at best.
Houston downtown looked very busy, huge and un-inviting and I felt very tired at the same time. So I decided not to do anything else in Houston. I checked into a motel close to NASA and crashed.

Cancelled flight and problem solving
... see if they would cancel our room without charging us. (United did say that they could send something to the hotel showing that our flight was indeed cancelled.) We did that (excellent hotel), then seriously considered cancelling the whole weekend. But cooler heads prevailed, and we returned to the desk to see if we could both get on the early flight to Chicago, spend the night, then arrive Austin mid-day.
