... on the sidelines behind the barrier while they checked it all out. All of this for a visit that lasted less than 30 minutes.

We are getting used to the lingo - so we hope y'all are well. Aussies are not very common in this part of the world and our slang and the form of English we use, causes problems - car park not a lot, tea towel not dish cloth. The list goes on. We may both speak English but this does not mean we are easily understood.

          Cheers to the upgrade

... SEA Today has been an interesting one. We had planned to walk the Cannonball Trail - 400 years of Norfolk and American history all wrapped up in a 2 hour walk along the waterfront and through Downtown Norfolk. Brian took one look at the waterfront and was "a goner". We spent the day looking at displays of naval history, visiting the USS Wisconsin (Whiskey for short) and taking a boat trip to the Naval  Station Norfolk. It was a gorgeous day but very ...

About to watch a "worth-it" short film on the history. We saw an Indian settlement, toured the museum, boarded a replica of a European exploration ship and learned about the lost colony. 5:00pm- we just crossed the Chesapeake and are driving north through the Eastern shore of VA. Sunny and ...

... so far on this trip.......and it's free :) The water temperature was very similar to Adelaide. There was hundreds of people on the beach. Multi coloured umbrellas for miles. Reminded us of the Gold Coast, in the way the hotels were built along the boardwalk. a saw a school of dolphins swimming past close to the shore. Back to the hotel to get our of the sun for a while. Later we went out for a delicious pizza and a walk along the ...
