Today we are being picked up by a limo to travel to Detroit Metro Airport to start our journey that Braedan has been dreaming for. We will be heading from Detroit to Atlanta and then on to South Africa we go. Hazy and humid today. Went to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a quick visit to see if anything was new. Took a few pictures, got gas and headed out for Toledo. Saw the Nestle’s Bunny sign around Pendleton, just northeast of Indianapolis and took a quick picture. Seems like the A/C is working again - Dan figured out what the problem was. We get to the border and get pulled over for inspection. This is the first time we have had this. My own fault really, I usually check the border patrol website for admissible foods and I didn’t. We had the dreaded chicken and eggs on board. There currently is a ban due to the H1N1 virus. The border people are really very nice and it doesn’t take too long to get on the
- Easy drive but really didn't get far?!..despite explicit instructions I managed to get turned around ( ie lost)leaving Kitchener just as I did entering it!!!...not an easy "on/ off" from 401!!
