    ... to where I started. The ferry had a 2 HP electric motor to pull it back and forth. We took lots of pictures. Then we were off to Bo's Hollow. Mom Lynn and son Mark seem to run the place. They have a "30's Gas station and a little village with a Barber shop, Post office, Telegraph office, General store, Jail and Smoke House that sold beef jerky. We took a tour of the property and shop were they restore Model A's. Right now Dave is working on restoring a Vicky. ...

    The bi-polar staff of Amtrak: While Nathan, our train car attendant from Sacramento to Chicago went way out of his way to be helpful, the attendant from Seattle to Sacramento wouldn't even set up our beds when it came time to crawl in. Via, as far as I could make out hires only Nathan types.

    ... weather worked out, it was 100 F with high humidity. However, we were undeterred. There was a Big Boy to see. (That is train talk for a really powerful large engine that Newt has fond memories of)... We were able to see 15 trains (Newt had replicas of all but a couple).
