Washington is unique among American cities in having been laid out on a master plan by architect Pierre Charles L'Enfant and like only a few other cities in the world. Haussmann redesigned Paris in a grand way, but that involved destroying a great deal of what was already there. Washington was started from scratch like Brasilia and Canberra, neither of which I suspect are quite so grand (although I have not seen them). Washington’s great boulevards are named after states, such ...
... we will be doing that anytime soon. We got given umbrellas from reception and we headed out into the... Glorious sunshine?? I was looking forward to the cool, yet somewhat wet weather, as I thought it would make it easier. It wasn't too humid though so we headed for The Lincoln Memorial. It was about a half an hour walk, so not too bad. Always love looking from Lincoln down The Mall to The Capitol. It is so iconic. We managed ...

The Sweatmans were headed to the tropical beaches of Turks ...

I can't wait to get over there and see everything, and share all my (hopefully) fantastic and professional-looking photos with you! Write to you soon! XOXO, Mackenzie.
P.S. The weather is going to be in the 70's to 80's. Don't be mad.
