Flew into Orange County -- I had to take a noon flight because all the later flights were booked! Wonder what's going on in the OC. Drove up to visit Emily and Jeremy. Emily and I walked around campus, then we went to the Claremont Village extension for dinner. Ended the evening at Back Abbey, their favourite tavern. ... they day before her birthday and would have lost her birthday and was happy we flew when we did! The one thing I will say about Qantas is that they do provide some of the best in flight entertainment with over 20 movies showing on demand! I watched a great documentary showing some of the 17 world heritage areas that Australia possesses. It should also be mentioned that we got free booze unlike some of those unfriendly America airline policies I could mention!

... the taxi's don't obey any traffic laws. Kimchi-(fermented cabbage is good). Well at least I like it. It's spicy but totally different than hot or spicy Mexican food. The Koreans eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner sometimes. It's really healthy. Taxi's are a very common form of transportation - it costs $3 when I take one to work and it's probably a mile from where I live. I haven't taken the bus yet but it's $1.10 each ...

... firstly, the 3D movie. It was very well done - from the foyer of the cinema all the cockroach scramble in the way out of the movie. Lots of squeals. Not from Zac. Secondly, there was the Bugs' Life version of the tea cup ride. Might not sound flash. But when you have a private ride and its in the rain, it makes it interesting. ... immediate service for us at all the DLand attractions. we had quite thoroughly manipulated the good intentions and impeccable customer service of the Disney corporation. the corporation didn't and wouldn't mind. another pair or impressionable young consumers. we were in the park, we were theirs; given that we were free to do what we want. we skipped on to Big Thunder Mountain.

DLand remains the happiest place on earth, it really does. I haven't tired of it yet ...

Poor Meg. She keeps trying to point out things of interest when we're driving around and I keep looking in the opposite direction and saying "Wow! It's a school bus!". By the evening I was feeling slightly more rejuvenated and we went out for dinner at an Italian restaurant not far from Meg's and then Meg and I drove down to Santa Monica ...

In true Hollywood style some filming was taking place today also.
