... inspection and a notice giving it's intimate dimensions. Far more spectacular was the view back down over Roanoke, we could pick out our land marks, the Wells Fargo building, the Hilton and even our motel beyond. ... As always we chose a place to stop and change drivers, this turned out to be a place called Kingsport, Tennessee. We always choose a Walmart if possible, for toilet, stock up and fuelling opportunities. In the U.S. they also have 'Rest Stops' which provide very clean toilets, vending machines and picnic areas about every 50 miles, these are very good to pull in for a stretch ...

... Farmsville. Lots of people bought a lot of food. I didn't think I needed any more snacks but as we had 2 hours until getting to the hotel, probably after 7pm I got cheese and crackers. Had a look at the sporting section again, bigger selection of guns this time. Finally got to the hotel. Went down to pool while doing laundry. Water cool for once. We went to the bar for dinner and had the ribs. They were delicious. Trying to get an early night. Big day of driving again ...
