The state colleges also boast some basketball teams that are quite famous throughout the country – the University of Rhode Island “Rams” and the Providence College “Friars”. With a vast number of lakes, streams, ponds, and being surrounded on 3 sides by Narragansett Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, Rhode Island also has excellent opportunities for both fresh and salt water fishing. ...
