Our departure from Germantown was on a very wet morning and unfortunately things did not improve on the way north. The scenery was looking good but would have been even better were it not for the driving rain that lashed at us most of the day.

I bought some plug adapters, a new phone that will actually work over there, a new Chromebook to stay in touch with people and to document my journey, made arrangements for my apartment and cats, and other things that I didn't even consider for my prior trip to Thailand. All that remains is getting a bunch of passport photos for my visas when I cross into other countries, and trimming down the items in my backpack. ...

... levels of oxidation). Warhol was an obsessive collector of objects. As a child he collected photographs of Hollywood celebrities and as an adult (from 1974 until his death) he collected cardboard boxes and filled these with materials from his everyday life. The museum has all 600 boxes from his Time Capsule series and they have placed the contents of just one box on display. There was mail, art, clothing and other random "collectibles". It was very interesting to see the ...
