A nice hotel, with a roomy suite where we stayed. The pool area was well kept. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were friendly.

Some jackass' idea of a good parking job!

Wow, what a week! Cindy and I had been toying with the idea of upgrading to a 5th wheel trailer for a while, and when Chris and Stephanie made the decision to purchase theirs, we decided to start looking a little more seriously. When we were in Pahrump at the end of September, we had stopped by to walk through the Shasta …

The anticipation of a big trip like this one is always part of the fun! Over the next week we need to finish up work commitments, buy and wrap Christmas gifts, attend numerous holiday events, attend to a plethora of details (washing the dogs, holding the mail, etc) and pack for our big adventure.

      ... guys !!!
The mornings in Prescott were cool (around 0 Celsius) but once the sun came out it quickly warmed up. Zero down here seems warmer than zero at home....go figure.
Another hour and a half south of Prescott and we were in Mesa (Phoenix) to spend some down time with Liz's brother Ben and his gal, Cheryl. Ben has an interest in a home in Mesa Dunes and was squeezing in a week of rest before heading back north to shovel more of ...

We had our first hike in the mountains! We did a nice 3.5 mile hike to Wind Cave at the Usery Mountain Regional Park. What unbelievable scenery!! Instead of trees, the area is covered in these amazing cacti! The view from the top of the mountain was ...
