Pensacola... the show was good, the hotel was horrible.

For the record, Pensacola does not count as Florida. The panhandle is not Florida. I know Florida. Pensacola is Alabama light.

I couldn't even find a Publix nearby!

De camino hacia New Orleans, paramos a visitar dos Parques Nacionales, el Big Lagoon, uno de los mejores parques en la costa de los USA, y el Tarkiln Bayou Park, caracterizado por las raras especies de plantas como algunas carnivoras.

On the way to New Orleans, we stopped to visit two national parks, Big Lagoon, one of the best parks on the coast of the USA, and Tarkiln Bayou Park, featuring the rare species of plants and some carnivores.

not good news to report today. I left pensacola FL this morning bound for Miami. Fate had another plan in store...5 or six miles east on I-10 traffic stopped cold. Uuugh...i hate that. Stop and go traffic and no lane splitting makes me cranky. Each time i have to stop theres a high chance of me losing my balance and falling over. So this morning my uncle made the bombest waffles ever! Then we went to his friends house in town, the guy is a serious BMW freak, has about 11 machines in garages and two or three other makes as well. Here are some pics. ... calmness made it feel like being in a swimming pool....one with water that is perfect to live in. We actually spent more time in the water than out of it as it was so moderate in temperature. We bought li-lo’s and just floated about in the water sun-tanning for ages. Absolute perfection.

Leeroy experienced a road trip U.S.A style 6:30am straight to the coach with a stop at Pensacola beach nice white sands e.t.c. for lunch & Avo...too bad there was a thunder storm warning so beach was closed for the afternoon so ended up a 8 hour straight drive.. the seas were angry that day my friends.

Well, this is where we called home until the economy crashed and took my business with it. But that gave us an opportunity and impetus to seek broader learning in Saigon. Of all the places we've lived this is at the top. On the bay, with a yard, dog....the American dream. Quiet town living, safety, low cost of living, only the occasional hurricane. It is a good place. We miss our friends and will return.

... come through and destroy these ones too. Why do we spend all this money to preserve the coast when it's most likely not going to last?

Then we drive over a bridge crossing an inlet and my skepticism is immediately replaced with wonderment.

What a piece of work this world is.

Went down to Pensacola to startup some equipment. But you can't be down there and not enjoy yourself at the same time. Definately hit up McGuire's Irish Pub if you're there. You won't regret it.
