Kim and I feel wonderful that our kids had a positive experience and were truly grateful for our European Tour. On our first Friday home, they made us a home cooked meal to thank us for the European vacation. They rode their bikes to the grocery store, purchased the ingredients with their own money, cooked ...

We flew into San Jose and got the train to San Francisco. It was an early start which we were finding more difficult as we are now used to the time difference from home. We finally get to our Motel after a short but crazy taxi ride and reception won't accept our US dollar card. We have the option to pay cash which we would need to withdraw or pay by credit card from home. The last thing we wanted to try to work out. In hindsight card is probably the best option but ...

After some French practice on the BART, we arrived with plenty of time to checkin to our flight ...

Spent the morning walking over Bernal Heights doing multiple yard sales .. Got a lovely old wind-up metal toy penguin -he just needs a clean and a key plus a book on DDR design .Saw the ultimate gift for serious wrestling fans but no way to buy and take home sadly ( see pic). Some lovely houses up on this hill just above a rough ( but not THE roughest ) part of outer Mission st. SF is similar to London - its composed of villages with v different ...

    The Buckeye Roadhouse

We had dinner at the Buckeye Roadhouse in Mill Valley, which is over the Golden Gate Bridge. It is mummy and daddy's favourite restaurant anywhere in the World (maybe equal with The Hand & Flowers dad says). I had crispy onion rings as a starter, and ribs with corn on the cob for my main. We had S'mores Pie for pudding to share between us. It was absolutely delicious. We drove back across the Bridge in really thick ...
