They disliked the car ride and I disliked saying goodbye.
Due to construction, we drove around Kansas City for 2 hours.
Celebrated Nick's birthday by going out for drinks at a chill bar.

Today I finished booking the details of leaving South America and traveling completely around the east coast of Australia. I begin this adventure on February 14th, Valentine's Day. Rio De Janiero, Brazil for Carnival is my first stop. People keep asking me if I am scared to be doing this trip alone. Of course, but my drive to see the ...

Kanesville Tabernacle: This is the location where Brigham Young was sustained as the second president and prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The building was built in two and a half weeks in preparation for that Church meeting. The fact that 200 volunteers built ...
... a well known, respected resident of Omaha, and was very excited to accept the invitation to guest direct the Choir and Orchestra at tonight’s concert. He told the Choir that he felt deeply honored to have been invited, and that he had been a great fan of the Choir since he sang in a boy’s choir as a young boy. Chip’s enthusiasm was contagious and his ease and musical expertise were evident to all.

Anthony has an "elite status" (can't remember the name) on United Airlines from all of his trips to China so he is allowed 3 70 lbs bags. The rest of us are just allowed 2 50 lbs bags each. When we were done pacing we had 4 70 lbs bags and 6 50 lbs. If you are counting, you will ...

Although it was rainy season while we were there we never got rained on at a time when we were trying to see something and we were able to really enjoy Machu Picchu.
This blog shows our distance traveled as 30,301 Kilometers which would be 18,828 miles. However you put it, it was a great trip!
WOW! What an experience.

Brian took us to the airport where we met the Kings. After checking in we all had lunch together...Jim, Carol, Chad, Todd, Joyce, Brian, and me. After lunch the boys took off and we headed to security. Our plane was a little late leaving, but nothing major.
We are to leave tomorrow and it is snowing in Omaha. The forecast
started at 1-2 inches. Now it is up to 5-8, tapering off at noon. Our
flight is scheduled to leave at 3:15 so we may be okay if the morning
flights don't back up and if the flight comes in from Dallas so it can
return to Dallas. This is shaping up to be like the time we went to
Sedona and the morning flights canceled. The other bad part is we have
a tight connection in Miami.
... Christmas party!). Last night I went to see the Lights Festival at Old Market. I hope you can see the beauty of the lights in my photos - I am not a skilled photographer so I don't do the scenes any justice. Tomorrow I am off to Washington D.C. before getting the train to Richmond, Virginia to stay with a good friend - Carol-lee Aquiline and her son, Aeden. I am looking forward to seeing them again. Hope you all are well and I wish you all a very merry Christmas. Leonie
