Started my last night Fort Lauderdale at a bar called the a Royal Pig, which is about the last place on East Las Olas. It was 5.45 and the ellipse shaped bar and surrounding booths were pretty full. I ordered a Fountain of Youth - vodka, pomegranate and lemon juice ...

Instead, we chose to go up the Hawk Channel (or The Outside as boaters refer to the ocean). We made this choice for several reasons. ... later than scheduled. The pilot and staff were very chatty and welcoming. I was sitting next to a nice skinny woman who occupied the middle seat. (Anyone who flys regularly can appreciate that!) Then, our aisle mate arrived (a totally tanked young guy). The mini-drama continues... Ugh! First the people behind me - a family of four - two very young children - 3 seats - no respect for anyone else - Do you see where I'm going with this? I've been getting ...

... deck 4 for the daily Diamond event. One of the perks of being a frequent sailer is we get invited to these events were there is a free bar and canapés for a few hours every evening. Perfect for pre-dinner drinks. Joyce, Jerry and their friends join us later before we head off to the main dining room for dinner. We now always opt for My Time Dining instead of the other 2 set dining times. We normally show up around 8.30 but its flexible and we can turn up earlier or ...
