Starting the day by getting up at 3:30am. This may be normal for Mary but this is way too early for this old guy. Flight is on time so far to Dallas. Meeting the Z's in Dallas. They too had a really early morning. I thought vacations were set up to allow one to catch up on sleep. Well doesn't matter since we are on our way to ...

... with the Morgans. On Saturday the Morgans will meet their (rented) 2-wheeled travelling companion for the first time - and off we shall go. Heading westwards after the sun.

... bloody knows? We’ve got more ‘C’s than ‘A’s at A level combined.
So DC welcomed us with open arms, still on our first day. Arguably the two greatest cities in the country and we’d give them both a go on the same day: the hubris, but we reached for the stars (S Club) and grabbed them. Arriving into another city brought Patch’s Walter Mite’s driving temperament to light; violent shouting, beeping and ...

... and beach stuff - including new costumes for our party on Saturday 30th August, save the date! We sat down and had a coffee for Peter and a horrible vanilla frappe for Sherrie that had more vanilla flavouring in it than an entire cake shop. But the beach was calling to us, so we gathered our things up and spent most of the day on the beach, rotating between swimming in the sea (surprisingly cold), sunbathing (unsurprisingly hot) ...

... and flash up for final night. Dinner was a shocker; service ****, waiter thought he was a comedian and he was not. No wine service which we found a bit weird. 2 courses served at the same time, some not getting served at all. Not a good last memory. One last show, and one last visit to the alchemy bar where the mixologists fixed us some remedies. We all had shocking nights sleep, had to be up at the crack of dawn , now waiting to clear customs. It is before 7 a.m ...
