... we hit the 6,000 mile mark on our odometer, whewhoo! Indiana is -so far- the state with the least amount of exits on the freeway, beside Indianapolis there isn't really much to see along the freeway, beside grassy fields and forest.

... now in Michigan. Rode to try to see Lake Michigan this afternoon but was only able to see a very small part. It looked very big and very rough as the wind was blowing. We left Ohio where it was 91 degrees yesterday and arrived at our campsite to 73 degrees. It was so comfortable that we left the door open and opened windows, something we don't get to do that often. We'll spend two nights here then travel more on Saturday. More to come later.
Today we traveled through West Virginia on I-77 through beautiful mountain country. The RV performed very well. Attached you will see pictures of us going through not one but two tunnels! It was interesting to say the least! And yes there is light at the end of the tunnel ! (both, in fact)

I was up early and regretted that I had given Larry my binoculars to pack. There were many active birds that I could see down the hill from our balcony. I could ID the Black-mandibled Toucans but the little birds were impossible. By the time Erin got up at 6:30 I was almost completely ready to go so I went over to the boys room and got my binocs. I saw some birds but nothing new. So our count for the trip stands at 170 birds.
