Sadly this past New Year's weekend was spent traveling to Tennessee to attend the funeral of Uncle John. Our trip from Spokane to Nashville and on to Big Sandy, Tennessee, took just over a day; we were able to pay our respects and participate in the burial of Uncle Johnny beside his beloved wife, Molly, who passed a year earlier. It was sad -- but …
... to as 'toy-town' but it just feels as though every house has the space around it for the family inside to live, breath and grow. In stark contrast to Memphis however, was the apparent lack of a 'tough' neighbourhood, everything about Nashville feels as though there's just more money around. Ok, so we were on a tour of the stars homes so unlikely we would have ventured into those areas which must exist, but in Memphis they just ran into each other almost immediately, almost ...

Very wealthy, Mr Overton was a good friend of Andrew Jackson and assisted him in gaining Presidency of the United States. Mr Overton was a Circuit ...
... was the official first day of the music tour with the orientation at 2:00 pm. Before then we did a little driving around, had lunch and went to Target to get a few things. We also stopped at the Opry Mills shopping center. Brian and I both found a pair of boots. Got to have boots in Nashville, y'all. The orientation was pretty standard stuff and we met the whole group on the tour. There are 25 motorhomes and 49 people. At ...
How has this hotel rated in the past?
We've stayed at this hotel before. It is reasonably priced, closed to the airport, close to lots of restaurants, close to Opryland, close to downtown. I'll be back again.

Sauberes, einfaches Hotel. Ist die $69 wert.
Nice place for the money
The hotel was clean and the room was large enough for our family of 4. We did comment to the front desk that the remote control for the tv did not work. They didn't do anything to fix it. When we returned from our evening out, it still didn't work; but it was pretty late to have them look at it. And then we were leaving first thing....so I guess it was not a big deal to them.
We did not use the dining facility. Did use the work out room, it was small but okay.
The location was very good. We felt safe. Would stay here again if in the area.
My wife and I just spent two nights at the Courtyard near the Nashville Airport. We found the staff to be friendly and courteous and the room to be above average with nice decor and a very comfortable king bed. The airport location was exactly what we wanted and it was only about a ten minute ride to downtown Nashville. Be warned, however, that there is major road construction around the airport which makes it somewhat tricky to access the hotel. We had time to use the outdoor pool which was clean and refreshing, the outdoor temperature being about 90 degrees and humid.
This place was adequate. It was clean, had broadband dataport, all the necessities. Nothing bad to say but nothing stupendous stands out.
I would recommend this place to anyone.
One small issue... had to wait on the shuttle (I think the guy over-slept) which stressed us out a little. However, they got us there in plenty of time for our flight.
Good Place to stay
We only stayed here 1 night when visiting Nashville but found the room to be plenty big for the 4 of us. (2 Queen beds)
It looked recently remodeled and seemed to be a good value for the price we paid. Our kids got to swim in the outdoor pool and thought that was great. It was obviously built with business travelers in mind but not bad for the family traveling to Nashville for a quick visit. I would recommend this hotel with no hesitation, again for Business or non-business travelers.
Stayed here 3 nights for a wedding end of March/Early April 2006. The new decor is fantastic, the room was spotless, the public areas attractive and pleasant, the staff friendly. A lone female traveler, I found the night time parking well lit and the inside corridors safe. And there is a Free-Use computer with Internet Access in the lobby to boot! With a map you realize you are 10 mins from Opryland and 15 mins to downtown (add 5 mins if you go under 65 on the Interstate).
February 5, 2006 - I appreciated and enjoyed my one-night stay at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel in Nashville near the airport.
This hotel has been recently renovated and is just like a new hotel. The rooms have upgraded bedding and decorations and even the carpet is a little nicer than your normal hotel carpet. We had a 2 double bed room and it was large enough to add a roll-away (real bed - not a cot) and still have plenty of room to move around. We asked for the roll-away at check-in and by the time we parked and got to our room it was waiting outside the door. The indoor whirlpool was closed for renovation but that was made clear at check-in. Check-in was a breeze and everyone was very friendly.
This hotel is not as nice as the other Marriott hotels in the area (Fairfield and Springhill Suites). It's a little older. Staff was very friendly though.
The Fairfield Inn has begun charging for parking if you leave your car at their hotel while you're away on a flight. The Courtyard Inn does not charge.
The complimentary shuttle service is nice.
