Back to the west coast
... thinning. $150 taxi ride later I arrived at the hotel, stayed here once before about 8 years back. Went out with work colleagues to a Vietnamese restaurant and had Pho (noodle soup). Took a picture to send to Mel knowing she will kill me for it. Went to a bar for a few jet lag reducing beers with a couple of work people, the headed back to the hotel at about 9pm. Last day...what to do but to shop?!?!
... decided that we need to try and eat more Nem Nuong so she made more!! I had about two or three rolls and was completely stuffed since I had also tried the Banh Cuon beforehand. Then it was cake time! It's Grandma's birthday today so we had a cake for her. It worked out so great as everyone was home to celebrate and it gave us a chance to spend time with them but also to say goodbye.
After they left, the packing begun... ...
Final Tally
... room, the mattresses were insanely thin (it was like sleeping on a rock), the place was just dirty, and breakfast was not only not included, but expensive.

Final Packin!
... get some breakfast and coffee at good 'ol Noah's and Starbucks. Then it's off to my dad's house. At 6am we'll leave for SFO... navigate the morning traffic within an hour hopefully. Our flight leaves at 8:56am (our time). It's a 5.5 hour flight to New Jersey, where we'll have a 1.75 hour layover.
