    ... we took a cab back to take our studio tour. The tour was really interesting & we heard some original recordings of Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis & Johnny Cash. We spent the evening in Beale Street & had a great dinner - Tamales & Catfish! Back at our hotel now, we are getting ready to head out to Magnolia, Arkansas ...

    Hiya hope you are all well Our drive from Nashville was really good, no roadworks for a change!! Arrived in Memphis just cross the road from the home of the king, not Kenny but Elvis!! We can see his house from our hotel Went downtown to Beale street where there are lots of bars playing live music it is fab!! Pics attached!! Off to Gracelands tomorrow, can't wait!! By the way our hotel is really tacky with Elvis stuff but we love it :) Love you all loads ...

    ... Lewis. So we were definitely here and stayed...Feels like home!!!
    Apparently there are some mountain areas where there are still scottish accents.....

    ... get a coat' as they cruised past! Hell even the insults in Memphis are kinda friendly!

    It is a fantastically welcoming city although we glimpsed a little of the undercurrent of tension on Saturday night as 70,000 rival college football fans invaded the city! After a great meal in The Flying Saucer (highly recommended if you're ever in town) we strolled down to Beale where we had to queue about 30 mins JUST to get on the street! And to reward us ...
