      ... forests. We drove through the Great Smokey Mountains which was beautiful but also a little sad. I had really wanted to do some hiking in these mountains and they are considered a highlight of the area but with the weather getting colder everyday it was just not feasible.       It's hard to believe that in 48 hours I will be on a plane headed for my first European adventure that will be an approximate total of at least over 11,000 miles! I know that isn't quite a big deal. I've met many people in my travels who have been "across the pond". However, I don't know many that have had an itinerary like this.
